Weekly LEGO Creations

This week was a big LEGO building week for the boys.  They built and built all week.  By about Wednesday, they were starting to complain that they couldn't find the piece they needed for their next creation, but neither of them was willing to take apart their collection to get the pieces they needed.

At the end of the week, they each had a pile of inventions.  I insisted that part of the weekend cleanup effort meant taking apart everything to start a fresh week of building.  They were ok with that plan once I included the need to take a picture of everything before they got taken apart.

Peter's projects included: a Batmobile, a Super mobile, a Ninja mobile, a few race cars or space ships, Wall-E and a Rover.  He found sticker material somewhere and made labels for each of the vehicles.  Mama spent a lot of time peeling sticky stuff off of LEGOs when she took all the pieces apart!  Peter definitely had a thing for fins/wings on the back of each vehicle this week.  Many of his creations were capable of flight and would zoom around the room chasing bad guys.

Grady made an ice cream truck, a Rover and a Wall-E too.  The ice cream truck got a little sticker with an ice cream cone on it.  And it was filled with all sorts of LEGO pieces and other accessories.  Last week, Grady made boxes all week out of LEGOs - and they were all filled with more LEGOs.  Grady's Rover and Wall-E each had to have their entire exposed tops covered with smooth LEGOs.  No bumps allowed on the tops of his creations!

We'll see what next week involves.  Now that the LEGOs are stored in drawers in the playroom, the boys have been playing with them almost non-stop.
