He quickly decided that something else would work better and found an old cling wrap tube in the recycling. He spent a really long time cutting it up because it was super thick. But eventually he got it cut the way he wanted. He has his own low temp glue gun so he was able to make this little guy all on his own.
While Peter worked on this, Grady wanted his own snowman, so he took an old mac-n-cheese box, cut it up to have just a single layer rectangle of cardboard and put four blobs of glitter on it. I warned him about making a mess with the glitter, so he was very good and got a little broom and dust pan afterwards and swept up a whole ton of glitter that he had spilled on the craft table.
Then after all of this was finished, somehow the game turned into stabbing a cardboard box with wooden swords. Go figure. Fun to make, fun to look at, but when you get right down to it, you just can't beat destruction on whatever scale you can find.
