It's been a tradition to go to Corley Ranch each fall. We started taking Peter possibly even before Grady was born. Corley Ranch has a corn maze, roping area, petting zoo, pumpkin patch and even pig races. Each year the kids have liked different stuff.
Last year at the pig races, the boys felt a little disappointed with how fast it was over. The pigs run about 30 feet. They name them stuff like Wilbur, Charlotte, Bacon and Pumpkin. They race for Oreos. When they pull up the starting gate, the pigs run and it's all over in about 5 seconds.
Peter felt a little bored this year. He really wanted to "play the games", thinking that there were carnival sort of games somewhere. They were only booths with vendors this year - no games. So he was a little disappointed, but still got in to some of the activities. He tried roping for a while and definitely did not want to pet any animals. He sat on the slide staring off into the distance for a few minutes too.
We went through the corn maze which had 5 questions hidden inside. Answer all the questions and get a candy. Grady took off marching through the corn to find those questions. Peter and Boris stuck together through the maze while I tried to keep up with Grady. Grady was somewhat fascinated about the corn, but not distracted for long. Hurry! March! Find Questions so I can get my pumpkin!
