Peter as Mini-Boris

Boris took the boys to the park recently and he took these pictures.  Peter's got a bunch of expressions that are totally Boris from when he was little.

In Peter news this week, we got the results back from the GT testing.  He didn't make the cut off to join the GT classes this year.  Doesn't make much sense to me because I see that his work in class is pretty much the highest score every time.  But at the same time, he doesn't really want to do the GT classes because it means he'll miss out on things in his own class.  So, we're all happy, but I do need to talk to his teacher and make sure he's not getting bored.
I just finished updating Peter's allowance chart to reflect this year's homework and chore schedule.  We'll see how well it works for Peter.  He'll have some extra chores like cleaning up the bathroom because it was getting hard for me to give him an allowance for cleaning up his five toys in the playroom when Grady's got stacks of toys lying around to clean up.  Peter's just not home enough to make a mess like that and when he is home, he plays with Grady's toys too.
Peter's pretty excited for Halloween.  We're supposed to have pizza with one of Peter's friends and then go trick or treating.  He also gets to have "Spooky Raviolis" for lunch at school.
Today is Peter's 7-1/2 birthday.  He decided ice cream is the treat for today.  So we're supposed to go get ice cream this afternoon.  His favorite color is blue.  He reads Magic Tree House books every night right now.  He finally falls asleep on his own and is happy about it, especially since it means he gets a 1/2 hour of reading time on his own too.  He says he likes the Mummy book best.  We remembered to put another line on his growth chart today.  He's about 2 inches taller than last year.
