We try to get outside when we can. This summer has been a little harder, with all the different activities. The boys still have Tae Kwon Do twice a week and I have them doing Tumbleweeds Camp two days a week as well.
One Wednesday, we managed to go on a hike. We were expecting that the boys' friends were coming too, but they ended up having to back out. So it was mostly just us on the trail. It was a bit hot and not shady at all.
Grady was running all over the place, trying to convince me that he's a runner (because he really wants the toe shoes specifically for runners). Peter was more of the walk-a-bit-then-squat-in-the-shade style. He wasn't happy that his friend wasn't there so he complained most of the way.
We've also walked down to the park a couple times in the evening. The boys have fun...for a little while...some of the time. This is Peter's maybe-its-fun-but-I'm-a-grown-up face. Right after this he went off to look for rabbits. Then we had a big storm the day after we got back from LEGOland. The boys and I were out getting ice cream and on the way home, visibility was almost nil from how hard the rain was falling. I handed the boys my phone and had them snap a few pictures of the rain, but they were all blurry from the drive. This is them watching the rain and thunder once we got home. This storm caused a lot of flash flooding in our area, but not our house.
And some other pictures of the sunsets lately. We've been having thunderstorms almost every afternoon/evening lately and it's made for some pretty clouds.
Plus a panoramic shot of the rainbow sunset. I heard friends saw a double rainbow, but I only saw this part.
